Environmental impact
At Emma Rapley Hair, creating beautiful hair goes hand in hand with making more conscious choices for the environment. I believe luxury and sustainability can coexist, which is why I’ve carefully chosen salon partners and products that align with my values and help reduce the impact of salon waste wherever possible.
RECYCLING
I’m proud to be partnered with Sustainable Salons, a resource recovery program helping salons divert up to 95% of salon waste from landfill. Through this program, materials such as hair, metals, plastics, paper and chemicals are collected and recycled or repurposed into new products. Hair clippings can even be transformed into hair booms used to help absorb oil spills, while proceeds from recycled materials support charitable organisations including OzHarvest.
PRODUCTS + COLOUR
I use colour and retail products from ELEVEN Australia, a brand committed to high-performing products that are cruelty free, paraben free, and with a large range of vegan and gluten-free options.
FOILS + colour tools
To further reduce waste in salon services, I use recycled salon foils, colour bowls, brushes, and combs from Hello Bleach wherever possible, helping minimise the environmental footprint of blonde and colour services.
WATER
At the basin, I use the ECOHEADS Showerhead, an innovative water-saving system designed specifically for salons. ECOHEADS technology helps reduce water usage by up to 65% while also improving water filtration and service efficiency, allowing for a more sustainable and elevated salon experience.
Sustainability is an ongoing journey, and I’m committed to continuing to make thoughtful choices that support both my clients and the environment.
